Upper heating function

The oven uses only the upper heating element for this function and requires the use of the grill in the oven. In addition, it is recommended to use a tray in which to put a liter of water to collect the fat or juices from the prepared food. The grill must be positioned on level 4-5 of the oven, and the tray with water, a little lower. Keep in mind that, for this function, the oven does not require preheating and the door must remain closed during preparation. With this function you can cook skewers, pork, steak, sausages, but also gratin vegetables or even fry bread.

Lower heating function

It is only recommended for cooking on one level of the oven and uses only the heating element in the lower part of the oven. The types of food that can be cooked with this function are those that require heat from the bottom, such as scones, cookies, muffins or meat.

 

Lower and upper heating function

This function uses heat for baking both from the bottom and from the top and is recommended for cooking on a single level, preferably on the middle shelf. However, if you want the dish to be more browned, you can move it to the top of the oven. With this function you can cook tarts, fish, puff pastry, raw meat or cakes with filling.

Manual cleaning

To clean this type of oven effectively, you first need a solution of sodium bicarbonate with water: to one liter of water, dissolve 4 teaspoons of bicarbonate in a spray container. If the oven is very dirty, you can use a more concentrated solution, with the consistency of a paste. Spray this solution or smear the charred areas.

Double glazing

You will always have the necessary conditions to prepare food in perfect condition thanks to the double glass of the oven, with the help of which all the heat is kept inside. It also provides protection against overheating and ensures easy cleaning.

How to set the baking temperature according to the dishes

In addition to setting a certain function to help you prepare food quickly, you must also take into account the set temperature. Look at the optimal temperature for different types of food, so you can be sure that they will cook evenly and be tasty:

  • Cakes - when preparing cakes, it is essential to preheat the oven for about ten minutes before inserting the tray into the oven. The optimal baking temperature should be set between 150 and 200 degrees Celsius. At the same time, it is recommended not to open the oven door during the first three quarters of the time required to bake the cake. If you want to cook two trays of cakes, don't forget to leave a space between them. For example, for muffins, cake tops and tart dough, the baking temperature should be set to 180 degrees Celsius.

  • Meat and fish - for red meat (beef, lamb, pork), the recommended cooking temperature is between 200 and 250 degrees Celsius. Thus, the meat remains juicy inside and browns on the outside. For white meat (fish, chicken), the temperature should be set to 150-175 degrees Celsius. Use a larger piece of meat, so that it does not dry out during cooking. At the end, you can leave the meat in the oven for another 15 minutes, so that the juice inside softens it. Pour a little water into the drain pan, to avoid the formation of smoke in the oven during baking.

  • Puff pastry and pastry dough - the suitable temperature for baking is 190-200 degrees Celsius, so that the puff pastry sheets do not dry out;

  • Bread and leavened dough - bread is baked at an optimal temperature between 180-210 degrees Celsius. The lower and upper heating function is recommended for 30-45 minutes. In the case of cakes, due to the high sugar content, the suitable temperature for baking is 180-190 degrees Celsius.

  • Pizza - in the case of electric ovens that are provided with the special function for pizza, you must set the baking temperature in the range of 200-220 degrees Celsius, for 25-35 minutes. If you don't have an oven equipped with this function, you can set the function with upper and lower heating, at the same temperature and for the same time interval, to bake the pizza top. If you are preparing frozen pizza, the temperature must be set to 200 degrees Celsius, for 15-20 minutes, and the tray must be placed on the third level of the oven. The recommended functions are pizza, top and bottom heating.

  • Fried potatoes - to prepare fried potatoes in the electric oven, you must position the tray on the middle shelf and set the baking temperature to 250 degrees Celsius, for about 15 minutes, on the upper and lower heating function. Then switch to the grill function for another ten minutes, so that it browns nicely. If you don't have a grill function, you can move the tray to the bottom or top of the oven and let it brown for five or ten minutes.
