Cleo 5T is used in individual households, to incubate eggs from domestic birds. It is built on the principle of the surface incubator, eggs being placed in a single layer. The case, made of plastic mass , ensures the preservation of the internal temperature.
The heating is ensured by a thermostated electric resistance. The homogenization of the air inside is done by a motor with a propeller. Temperature control is provided by an electronic circuit.
Through the holes made in the casings, a slow and continuous ventilation of the air inside is ensured, thus removing the excess of carbon dioxide and other noxes resulting during incubation. For an optimal operation of the product, you must avoid blocking these holes or covering the electronic module.
The Cleo 5T incubator is equipped with a digital thermometer to display the temperature inside the incubator.
Humidity is ensured by filling the two alveoli (channels) in the lower half-shell of the incubator with water.
Turning the eggs is also done manually its aim is to equalize the temperature and humidity on the entire surface of the egg and avoid sticking the embryo to the shell.
Practical tips for a correct incubation:
- Hatching eggs must not be older than a week or fresher than 3 days;
- In order to favor hatching, on the previous day of hatching the eggs, the eggs must be transferred to an enclosure heated to 34 °C, then to the incubator where it undergoes a new disinfection.
- The limits between which the temperature in the incubator must oscillate are between: +37.5 and +38 °C.
- Starting with the third day, the eggs are turned for 3 hours a day at 180 degrees, and in the last 3 days the eggs are not turned. For the version with an egg turning device, starting with the 3rd day, turn the eggs 3 times a day, left-right at 45 degrees. In the last 3 days, the eggs are not turned and the supports are removed, leaving the eggs directly on the grill.
- The chicken remains in the incubator until it dries.
- The atmospheric conditions in the room where the device is kept must be constant throughout the incubation period.
- Egg incubation period: hen: 21 days; turkey: 28 days; rate: 27 - 28 days; goose: 30 - 32 days; quail: 17 days; potarniche: 24 days.
